TCPM provided project management services to the Township of Langley for the Langley Events Centre.
This 260,000 sq. ft. facility includes a 4,000 seat arena, three college level gymnasiums with seating for 2,000 spectators, a 20,000 sq. ft. gymnastics facility, community recreation facilities, an exhibition space and leasable space for several community partners. Extensive surface parking for 1,000 cars was also provided.
The project prominently features the use of British Columbia wood products as a showcase example of the innovative use of wood. The project was implemented on a fast-track design-build basis with Ventana Construction and MQN Architects.
The gymnastics facility opened in April 2009 and the building grand opening occurred on June 13, 2009.
This truly multi-purpose facility has attracted many national events to Langley, leading to significant cultural, athletic, and economic benefit to the community.
In 2016, TCPM completed lighting upgrades and a new concession addition to better accommodate the Vancouver Giants.
