North Vancouver City Hall
The North Vancouver City Hall redevelopment was a 38,000 sq. ft. civic renewal project that modernized and seismically upgraded the City’s aging municipal facilities through adaptive reuse rather than demolition. The project connected the existing City Hall and former library with a dramatic timber atrium, creating improved public access, collaborative civic spaces, and upgraded office environments while emphasizing sustainability and long-term community value.
The project’s 220-foot-long timber atrium used massive laminated wood panels spanning up to 32 feet, showcasing one of the earliest large-scale wood-concrete composite systems used in North America.
