Guildford Aquatic Centre
The Guildford Aquatic Centre is a major community recreation facility in Surrey, BC. The project features a 50-metre competition pool, therapeutic and leisure aquatic areas, a lazy river, toddler play zone, expanded fitness facilities, a new public lobby, 300 spectator seats, and a new two-level parkade. The facility was designed to support both competitive aquatic programming and family-oriented recreation within a bright, contemporary civic space.
The facility’s signature roof structure was built using long-span wood construction, creating an open pool hall with extensive natural daylight throughout the space.
