1770 Davie and Denman
TCPM provided project management services for the comprehensive renewal and seismic upgrade of 1770 Davie Street, a landmark 16-storey purpose-built rental tower located at the intersection of Davie and Denman Streets in Vancouver’s West End. Originally constructed in 1958, the 58,000 sq. ft. building contains 58 rental homes and ground-floor commercial retail space.
The project involved a complete modernization of the existing structure, including significant seismic upgrades, building envelope renewal, replacement of major mechanical and electrical systems, life safety improvements, sprinkler installation, a new fire alarm system, and the conversion of the building’s heating system to a high-efficiency heat recovery and air-source VRF system. The renovation also included extensive interior upgrades and enhancements to resident amenities while preserving the building’s long-term use as rental housing.
TCPM worked closely with the project team to deliver this complex occupied-building transformation, extending the service life of a prominent Vancouver rental tower.
